I am a Jesus loving, babywearing, cloth diapering, breastfeeding, blogging mom. I have two precious children whom I have the extreme privilege of staying home to raise. We also have another little blessing on the way this spring! But for now, Tate is 3 years old and is a bundle of fun, not to mention that he is an expert at giving hugs and kisses. Emily is 1 1/2 years old and is busy taking care of her "babies" and fixing cars with big brother. I am a wife to a youth pastor - and that definitely never has any dull moments! Besides all the things I mentioned above I love hiking (I can't get enough of the mountains...too bad we don't live near them!), reading, music, spending time with friends, camping (minus the bears!), gardening, writing reviews and blogging (of course!!), taking pictures, wearing my pajama's (hey, they're the most comfy outfit I own! ;) ), and so much more. I love being in ministry with my husband and raising our two children at home...and I couldn't imagine it any other way.

My family and I live in a city on the Canadian prairies, and have for 5 years now. I was born and raised here, but went off traveling and working abroad after I finished university. On one of my many jaunts around Europe, I met my husband Richard, who's Dutch. To make a long story short, we married and lived in the Netherlands for 6 ½ years before coming (back) to Canada. Our 1st son Jonathan was born in the Netherlands in 2005 and our 2nd son Daniel was born in Canada in 2008. Our "baby" girl was born in 2010. In my previous life (before kids seems like another life ago!) I worked as a primary school teacher. Now I'm a stay-at-home-mom – that's a big enough job in itself, I find! All 3 kids are “going concerns” – what one doesn't think of the other does, and it doesn't matter who thought it, they're all doing it! :) We are practicing non-denominational Christians and are trying our best to live and raise our children according to the teachings of Jesus. I enjoy cooking and baking (but not washing up :)), playing with the kids, reading (not too much time for that lately!), sewing (less time for that, but I'm hoping to get back into it!), taking pictures of the kids, updating the blog for our Dutch family, music (listening and playing the piano and singing) and sitting on the couch drinking honeybush or rooibos tea with my husband after the kids have gone to bed – this has become our nightly ritual!
