Down To Earth Baby Gear has a LOT of fabulous products that are natural, eco-friendly. A lot of their items help with waste-reduction as well as give us more frugal options. Of course, one of the main focuses is also to provide parents and children with safe, natural and healthy products to use in their homes. One of these products is the Zoli Gummy Stick. These are a unique and very practical idea. They're a cross between a toothbrush and a teether, and our littlest one (who is about 1 1/2 years old) has REALLY taken to the Zoli Gummy Sticks. The sticks have a soft, textured tip to help soothe baby's gums. It is perfect for our little girl who is currently working on her molars...I often see her chewing on her Zoli Gummy Stick back there by her molars. They are also easy to hold and have an anti-choke shield to make sure the stick does not accidentally go too far in. They are BPA & Phthalate free and are great to have around the house, or even to throw into the diaper bag as you're heading out the door. When our older kids are brushing their teeth, our little one enjoys "brushing" her teeth and massaging her sore gums with her Zoli Gummy Stick! This is one of the 'practical' ways to help a teething child, and we are really enjoying it. The Zoli Gummy Sticks would make a great baby gift...or even a neat stocking stuffer this Christmas for the teething babies or toddlers in your family.
Well, you guessed it...Down To Earth Baby Gear has a solution for this as well. It's called RLR Laundry Treatment and is basically a special treatment to remove dulling dried in particles from fabric. During our regular washing cycles, mineral deposits in the water, dirt & soil sediments and residual matter from detergent all build up in and on the fabric which causes it to smell, look less-than-white and not absorb liquids well (like cloth diapers that have trouble absorbing and start to leak, or even dish cloths and kitchen towels!) We have had all of these issues with our cloth diapers, and although I have found a few ways to remedy the most troublesome of these (the lingering smell!), I am always looking for new ways to help keep our diapers looking great, smelling great and working great.
RLR Treatment is not a soap or bleach. Instead it works to remove the particles from the fabric that are causing the problems. These particles are then held in suspension in the water and prevented from re-attaching themselves to the fabric so they can be rinsed down the drain. We tried our first round of RLR Treatment and it worked well! I think our diapers may be a little more "built-up" than some so we probably need to do an extra round of RLR Treatment to really get them looking like new again. However, I was impressed with how it did work to pull a lot of the stains and smell out of our diapers. It also was very simple to use - just empty the package into the washing machine and wash like regular. No extra soaking time, or anything extra was required. RLR Treatments work on all washable fabrics - diapers, whites and colors! It is also phosphate free, bio-degradable and non-polluting.
If you're a practical, frugal and/or eco-friendly family, you'll really enjoy Down to Earth Baby Gear! I've just given you a glimpse of what they have to offer in this post, so be sure to head over and take a peek at all their other great products too!
