Write Your Child a Hug ~ GIVEAWAY!

As I look back at each day after the kids are tucked into bed and fast asleep, I often think about how FAST the day went...how quickly those minutes ticked by and how I want to cherish and love my kids for each of those minutes...but how I perhaps did not take the time to do those things as much as I should have. You know...like stoop down and give your child an unexpected hug, or read an extra story to your toddler, or take a moment to write a note to your older child - just to let them know you are thinking of them. These are all things I truly desire to do, but sometimes I just get too caught up in my own "to-do" list and the time vanishes.

I recently came across a fabulous Canadian company called Little JOTS, and they one of the answers to my WANT to love on my kids even when I don't have piles of extra time. Little JOTS has come up with a great bunch of "lunchbox" notes for kids - and not just any lunchbox notes either! Little JOTS notes are unique in that they provide parents with both pre-written notes or the option to write your own personal message. The pre-written notes were developed in conjunction with child specialists (teachers, social workers, and psychologists) to make certain that they were saying the things that kids need to hear the most. One of my favorites from the pack of pre-written notes was "I love being with you." It's simple...and yet so very true. Meaningful and to the point. A perfect way to let my kids know that I am thinking of them and that I love them no matter what.

Little JOTS are especially great for sending along to school with your children...helps to bridge the gap of time for the days when they are not at home. The notes are colorful and fun and even come with adorable little 'hug' or 'kiss' stickers to seal the note with. As parents, I think we all want to make our children feel special, loved and valued - even on the busy days! I just love the way that these notes provide a way to connect with your child while they are away from home, and what a fun way to create some lasting memories as well!

Each Little Jots Lunchbox Notes includes hard cover purse-size lunch notecard book, 20 pre-written lunch notes, 20 sheets to write your own lunchbox note, Kiss and hug stickers to seal your lunch note with and a pen. It's all there - and it's perfect for tucking in your purse or diaper bag so that you can even "write a hug" while you are on the go!

Of course, Little JOTS can be used in many more places than a lunchbox! In fact, in our home I have been slipping them into our children's "mailboxes" that are hanging outside their bedroom doors. They love to find their little notes in the morning! A few other fun ideas are to put it on your child's pillow, on their dinner plate, in a book or anywhere! The great thing about Little JOTS are that they are 100% versatile. They can be used by anyone who wants to convey a special message to a child (parents, grandparents, caregivers, etc.); they are quick & easy to use, and they are funky and fun!

Little JOTS are available both on their website as well you can also find them at London Drugs.
