Let's be Age-Smart! ~ GIVEAWAY!

Cold & flu season is in high gear...and this is the time of year when we REALLY start yearning for warm summer weather and the end of cold and flu season. However, it will be a few months yet before the chilly temperatures disappear, so while we are patiently (or not so patiently ;) ) waiting for warmer temperatures, it is important to have all the necessary tools and items in your home to keep good tabs on your family's health.

The Vicks AGESMART™ Family Thermometer is fabulous tool to have on hand when colds, flu's and fevers invade your home. It is the first age-adjustable thermometer which makes it great for using with the whole family. Age truly does matter when it comes to fevers. A fever in a newborn is different than a fever in an older child and the Vicks Family Thermometer does a great job of reading temperatures in a variety of ages and makes your job as a parent a little bit easier.

The thermometer has a bunch of great features as well, such as:

~ easy to use
~ clinically proven accurate and trusted
~ color-coded readings
~ takes the temperature reading in a short 8 SECONDS!
~ has a memory system to track the last readings
~ inexpensive
~ small and fits easily in your purse, diaper bag - even your pocket
~ flexible tip that is soft and gentle
~ water resistant for easy cleaning

Andrea's Take:
We absolutely LOVED the Vicks AGESMART™ Family Thermometer. After years of using a regular digital thermometer, this thermometer has been such a treat. The past two weeks have actually been full of sickness in our home - both colds and flu's - and we put the Vicks thermometer to VERY good use. It was incredibly helpful in taking the temperatures in all of our children, who range from 9 months old to 6 years old. My favorite feature, without question is that the thermometer takes a quick 8 SECOND reading. After previously trying to keep our children still for about a minute as I tried to take their temperature, 8 seconds was AMAZING. The color-coded readings and the age-adjustable options are our other favorite features. I would definitely recommend this thermometer to any family with young children!

Julie's Take:

We too loved the Vicks AGESMART™ Family Thermometer. Our children are also a variety of ages, and it was so easy to choose the correct setting for the age of the child. We noticed that this thermometer definitely brought back a quicker reading. The soft tip made it much easier to persuade the children to keep the thermometer in place. The display was easy to read and backlit so you can easily see the temperature reading even in the dark.

The Vicks AGESMART Family Thermometer is available at: Jean Coutu, Lawtons, London Drugs, Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart, Guardian IDA, PharmaPlus, Loblaws, Paragon, PharmaCHoice West, PharmaChoice Atlantic and Remedy.

I like that this thermometer tells you what is a fever for different ages -- I didn't know that there was a difference.

I like that the display is backlit - often you are taking temps in the dark! I also like that it's small enough to be portable.
