Christmas break is over...and it's back to school for most families today - ours included. :) It's been a good break, but the truth is that I think children LOVE to learn. They may not all love to learn exactly the same way, but whether it's through reading books, doing science experiments, or writing a report on a favorite topic, kids love to learn.
One of our favorite subjects for my son who is in Grade 1 is science. It's hands on, it has all kinds of neat thoughts and ideas to discover, and well...it's just plain ol' fun! But, regardless of how fun all those science experiments may be, it's always nice to have a little bit of seatwork to reinforce and practice all those science skills. DK Canada has a great series of Science workbooks. The Science Made Easy books are a great resource to help reinforce the science skills that your children will learn at school. They specifically support the Canadian curriculum, which I LOVE! The books were put together and tested by a team of science experts and are meant to help increase confidence in your children.
We've been using Science Made Easy, Kindergarten to Grade 2 workbook and it's a great supplement to add to our days of homeschooling! These workbooks are definitely great for both homeschooled children and public schooled children. Either way, they are packed full of great exercises to help your children review, learn and grow in their knowledge of science!
WIN IT!
DK Canada is giving one of our readers a copy of the Science Made Easy, Kindergarten to Grade 2 workbook. Please follow the instructions on the form below to enter. Open to Canada Only! Contest ends January 21, 2013.
