Soup
is definitely one of my favorite menu ideas for these cold winter
months! Today was the coldest day we've had so far this winter...and it
wasn't even that cold! However, it still had me pulling out my slippers,
washing dishes in hot water just to warm up my hands and putting a pot
of soup on to cook in order to warm up the rest of our family. Not only
does soup warm you up on a cold day, but soup is also incredibly
healthy! In the past year we've really delved into making more soups in
our home and we've all grown to love a frequent bowl of soup!
Robert Rose recently published a book that has been so fun and inspiring for our soup-loving family! 300 Sensational Soups is
packed full of hundreds of delicious soup recipes. I never knew there
were so many ways to make a bowl of soup! There a are quick, easy to
make soups and long, simmering soups. You'll find hot soups, cold soups,
thick soups, thin soups and even dessert soups! There are soups for
busy school nights, elegant soups for a fancy dinner. There's a soup for
each and every occasion!
Just to whet your appetite, listen to a few of these great sounding soups:
Cream of Broccoli Soup with Bacon Bits (mmmm! Definitely scrumptious!)
Chilled Stone Fruit Soup (Unique...but yummy!)
Borscht (a good, old fashioned soup!)
300 Sensational Soups also has recipes on how to make your own meat
stock and meat broths. This is something we do all the time in our home,
and I'm telling you that once you've tasted and made homemade soup
stock you will never want to back to the processed stock again!
This recipe book is definitely one that you'll want in
your collection. It's a "Soup-er" resource and one that we will be
using for many years to come!
WIN IT!
Robert Rose is giving one of you
