Keep things wrapped up!

Wraps are very popular to eat these days - funny how I don't think I even knew what a wrap was when I was growing up! (dating myself now too, right?!) My kids have decided they really like wraps, so we try to do that every now and again. It's a great way to change up a lunch or dinner. But it's messy with kids! How do you keep all the stuffing inside?

I was glad to learn that I wasn't the only Mom having issues with the wraps coming unwrapped or unstuffed... Mompreneur Karen's kids also wanted to eat wraps, just like Mommy. She started using a chip clip to keep the wrap closed, but was concerned about choking hazards (the little spring), the safety of the plastic, and the fact that her kids could still get it open! The Wrap Trap was launched in December 2009 and it's certainly a fun way of containing the mess and keeping things wrapped up!

Some cool things about Wrap Traps:
  • 100% Canadian: from concepts and prototypes to printing and distribution
  • BPA-free and lead free
  • dishwasher-safe
  • comes in 4 different animal styles (frog, cat, panda, hippo)
  • designed so little hands can't open them
Even I have trouble with wrap fillings -
but this one stayed together!
So - our experience with the Wrap Traps? Very positive. The designs are cute, although for me it's the practical working of the Wrap Trap that's more important! :) It does keep the wrap closed and helps make it easier for little fingers to hold on to, and keeps all the filling from leaking or gushing out. I can hardly get the clip unclipped, so for sure a child couldn't! I'm really pleased that the Wrap Trap is made in Canada, and of BPA-free plastic.

Wrap Traps are available at the OnsGear Inno Shop, among other places. Right now they're offering Glimpse readers a special deal:
