Vichy is a French skin-care product company that started in 1931 when Dr. Haller discovered the benefits of Vichy Thermal Spa Water. His idea was to use this therapeutic water and incorporate it into cosmetics. Since then, the Vichy brand has created many products, all designed with our skin's best interests in mind. Vichy choose to work closely with pharmacies and drugstores, as a way to distribute their products while enabling customers to benefit from a professional consultation.
I was sent a selection of Vichy products to try, and from what I have experienced, I'm certain they would make a great addition to any Mom's skin care (or anyone's really!).
I remember using spa water sprays when I lived in France. It was great for refreshing my skin. It was sort of nostalgic to see the Vichy spray bottle in the box sent to me. Throughout the day, it makes a great pick-me-up, just to spray the cool water over your face and skin. I remember my roommate and I discovered that water spray was also a great way to refresh a day-old baguette before putting it in the oven! :) The spa water contains a variety of minerals, is hypoallergenic, free of preservatives and fragrance, and is 100% pure. It's great for anyone (men or women) who want to relieve redness and irritation.
Refreshing Cleansing Milk
From the "Pureté Thermale" line, this cleansing milk is designed to remove eye makeup and impurities from the face. It's a mild and light cleanser that you apply with a cotton pad, and leaves skin feeling refreshed and soothed.
Proeven Daily Dark Spot Corrector
This skin cream evens skin tone and fades dark spots. Happily, I don't have any dark spots yet :) but I do have a very uneven complexion. Even in the few weeks that I've been using this, I've noticed that the skin on my face has a much more even tone. I also really like how it moisturizes my face without making my face greasy. It has been clinically proven to significantly reduce the appearance of dark spots.
NutriExtra Hands Nourishing Repairing Cream
The description of this cream fits me to a tee:
For women with dry and damaged hands, who require a simple hand care product that doesn't have to be reapplied 10 times a day.
This is an awesome hand cream, and it came exactly at the right time. My hands have really suffered this winter, and most creams that I've found to be helpful have had to be applied many times. I'm constantly washing my hands, what with household activities and caring for 3 children (plus 2 more on my babysitting days). I've found that this nourishing cream really does moisturize my hands.
Vichy products are available at most drugstores, including Shoppers' Drug Mart and London Drugs. Check the store locator to find a location near you.
