More Moisture for your hair! ~ GIVEAWAY!!

Trying to get the moisture back into your skin and hair after a long dry winter takes a while and some good products too! At the end of the winter, I received a sample of Burt's Bees new conditioner (and since then, the corresponding shampoo) to try out and see if it wouldn't revive my hair!

Burt's Bees has recently introduced it's NEW & IMPROVED hair care formulas. They are infused with Jojoba protein and Amino Acids for hair that's manageable, sot, smooth and healthy-looking.  The More Moisture shampoo and conditioner system is a great one to try out.


The first thing I noticed was that the conditioner is enhanced with Baobab Oil. I first encountered the Baobab in the story "The Little Prince" and so this already brought back fond memories of a great read-aloud in grade 6! :) Baobab Oil is known for it's antioxidants.The conditioner also contains avocado oil which nourishes your hair.

Once I started using the conditioner, I was pleasantly surprised. I have long, thick, curly/frizzy hair. It can be very hard to manage, and usually needs a lot of conditioner. I found that I didn't need as much as I was used to using, and still had great control and tangle-free combability (there, that's my new word for the day!)

Both the shampoo and conditioner are lightly honey-scented, nothing too strong but pleasant. Both products are sulfate-free.

The shampoo also contains Baobab Oil as well as Cupuaçu Butter, both known sources of essential fatty acids and antioxidants. I had never heard of Cupuaçu Butter before - it's obtained from the seeds of the Cupuaçu Tree, which grows in the Brazilian Amazon. The shampoo helps to leave hair smoother, and washes and rinses out well.

Burt's Bees products contain no petrochemicals, phthalates, parabens or sodium lauryl sulfate and are not tested on animals.
