Get it clean with Oxiclean! ~ GIVEAWAY!

It seems like I'm always working on a stain on someone's clothing. I had hopes (long ago) that as the children got older, the stains would change. I was right...but not how I expected. The stains have changed, but not in frequency, just in kind! With 3 kids, each of whom is at a different stage of eating and playing, it seems like someone is always getting something on their shirt - or better yet on my shirt! :) Like yesterday when I got a very enthusiastic hug from a 6-year old who'd just eaten a cupcake with the bluest icing imaginable! Um...thanks dear! :) Another one I'm working on is some mud/clay on my husband's light brown dress pants - from when he picked up our baby girl who had fallen, while visiting a friend's farm. I'd changed her clothes from her Sunday best, so SHE wouldn't get dirty, and she didn't. But his pants have mud in some very strategic and obvious places. I could go on... and on...

I've tried various methods and products for stain removal. Some are more successful than others. :) It would take a lot longer than one blog post to discuss this in detail. Let's get right to the point... one of the products I keep coming back to is OxiClean.

OxiClean Versatile Powder Stain Remover is an oxygen-based stain fighter that is chlorine-free, colour-safe and designed for maximum strength stain removal for laundry AND around the house! Did you know that OxiClean can be used on many different surfaces? I've always used it in the laundry only, but it can also be used on carpet, upholstery, grout stains, kitchen and bath surfaces, gutters, unfinished decks and patio furniture...and more!!

OxiClean recently launched a New & Improved Versatile Stain Remover, with dramatically better packaging and more oxygen power. It contains 40% more oxygen power per scoop than the previous formula. And, yes, the package is much easier to use. That's about the only disadvantage to OxiClean that I've noticed in the past - I could easily get the scoop out of the package and scoop out the powder I needed, but I couldn't get the scoop back IN. Now, with the container I received, this is no longer a problem.

I often pre-treat stains, because I usually forget to check if things have washed clean before throwing everything in the dryer, and we all know how easy it is to get a stain out that has been dried on. However, lately, I've had some loads of laundry where I've just added OxiClean along with my regular detergent as a "booster." And it has really helped the laundry come out cleaner. Stains that were there are gone, without extra work on my part. Granted, these were not blood, ice cream, blueberry, permanent marker, or anything like that. But still, it has saved me a bunch of work and time. YEAH!!

Win it!

One lucky Canadian Glimpse reader is going to win a package of OxiClean to get their own laundry and house sparkling again in time for summer!

Toughest stain? That's easy. My hubby though it would 'be fun'(read stupid) to pick up a stray baby skunk because 'they are too young to spray'. Turns out they are not.
