DK Discovery Day ~ DK First Earth Encyclopedia ~ GIVEAWAY!

This week I am very excited to introduce to you another wonderful bi-weekly feature on Glimpse!! DK Canada will be proudly showcasing one of their books every other week during our newest feature - DK Discovery Day. Not only will you get to hear & learn about a great book or resource for your family, but each DK Discovery Day will also include a GIVEAWAY of the book we are sharing with you! :) So let's jump right in and take a look at this week's discovery...

The First Earth Encyclopedia from DK Canada is a great find for kids ages 5-13. We have been using it as part of our 'science' subject while homeschooling our 5 year old for Kindergarten this year. He loves it! Some of the information is beyond him of course, but he gets the basic ideas and the book is filled with colorful, real-life photos that make learning about our earth even more exciting. The encyclopedia covers all the regular curriculum areas such as human geography, physical geography, geology and ecology. It is a perfect book for beginning to introduce our world to our children. The book is written in language that is easy to understand, and it covers topics that are practical and interesting to younger children. Each page also has a fun little quiz question at the bottom of the page. The DK First Earth Encyclopedia has been a wonderful resource for me as a parent, and an enjoyable book for my children as well! From reading about earthquakes to how people live, we have truly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more about our world in the weeks to come!

WIN IT!
DK Canada is giving a copy of the DK First Earth Encyclopedia to one of our readers. In order to enter please follow the instructions on the form below. CANADA ONLY!
