Hide and seek is an all-time favorite game at our house right now! And I have a feeling the simple game of hide and seek is loved worldwide. :) There's just something extra fun about finding someone or something that is hiding. Recently our two oldest children have also really enjoyed hide and seek books where they are able to look for 'hiding' objects on each page. (I have to admit...that even I enjoy these hide & seek books still! ;) )
DK Canada knows just how much fun hide and seek can be and they have a few great hide and seek books for kids! Hide and Seek Animals is one of them that we've added to our home and we love it. Not only do the kids and us parents get to spend time snuggling on the couch together while we look for the hiding pets, farm animals, birds, dinosaurs, etc. but this book also provides us with countless opportunities to learn about these animals and their environments. In our minds, you really can't lose when you are able to mix fun & learning together! Hide and Seek Animals is a great 'family activity' book, a great book for quiet places (such as church, weddings, etc.) and perfect for some longer-lasting traveling entertainment as well. We are looking forward to many more great games of hide and seek in the future...both in real life and in our hide and seek story books! :)

"My Favourite Recipes." I have a two-year old daughter and a seven-year old son who both love reading. This book by DK Canada would be a welcome addition to our library. We have in the past worked together in the kitchen to make cupcakes and a gingerbread house, which they loved. My son has especially taken an interest in doing things on his own. This would be a great book to work with, to help him build upon the confidence he has in the kitchen and to give us some more quality time together working on projects. Thanks for a chance at winning the giveaway.
