Attractive Accessories... GIVEAWAY!!

One of the fun things about having a baby girl is all of the girly accessories!! There are many cute things for baby boys, don't get me wrong :) but I'm happy to be able to use hair clips on our little girl now! Miamum is the hobby-turned-business of Mom Maria. As friends started noticing the baby products she designed for her first baby boy, she started making and selling items. As a mom of 3 boys, she also wanted to be creative in a more "feminine" way, and so PrimaMia is the outlet for all those girly ideas like flower hair accessories and headbands!!

We received a SassyStrap pacifier strap, as well as a clip and a headband from the PrimaMia collection. All items are well-made, and have been put through the toughest of testers these past few months: our daughter!

Annalies finally decided (condescended?) to use a pacifier just about the time Maria offered to send us a SassyStrap. Great timing! A pacifier strap is such a great idea, and this one is our favourite. Straps are available in many different ribbon colours, and can be snapped around the handle of a pacifier. Our pacifier doesn't have a handle (of course she would favour that one!) but it does come with it's own clip, and I was able to attach the SassyStrap to the part of the clip that attaches to the pacifier (see photo). It has been pulled, chewed on, played with, basically everything a baby can do, and hard, and it's still in great shape. I suppose one of these days I should wash it (it's hand washable) but the ribbon and ends look like when we received it. The clip is quite secure; Annalies has been able to pull off every pacifier strap we've used so far, and this one stumps her most of the time.

The PrimaMia collection is really quite extensive (and new items are being added all the time) and contains flower clips and headbands of all different styles and colours. The neatest thing is how they're all interchangeable!! On the back of the flower is a snap, which can fasten to the clip, to a brooch for an adult, or to the headband. So you can have several flowers and rotate them, just by unsnapping one and attaching another one. What a super idea!!  I'm not so fond of huge flowers on little babies, and PrimaMia does have some smaller, crocheted flowers. Most, however, are quite large, and Annalies just has enough hair now to make it look right (in my opinion). I tried on the headband one day, and was promptly told by my 3-year old, that that was just for girls!!! I am allowed to wear the flowers in the back of my hair, sort of Spanish-style, so at least I can use them sometimes too!! :) Once again, the quality of the hair accessories is obvious. Annalies doesn't leave anything in her hair for long, and then she's pulling it out, pulling on it, chewing it (under supervision, ie at our fellowship gatherings), and still the flowers look fine. The clip has a special anti-slip coating on, and it does stay in much better than other clips we have, without pulling her hair.
