Scholastic Monday has arrived again...but today it's not only Scholastic Monday but the kick off to our Christmas Gift Guide!! Scholastic is filled with great books for all ages of kids/teens and we believe that books make fabulous gifts! They inspire, teach, build skills, add laughter to your home, and so much more.
Today I'm so excited to be featuring two fabulous Christmas titles from Scholastic Canada! Can You See What I See? Toyland Express, by Walter Wick is a perfect Christmas title for all ages! The book is a fabulous search-and-find adventure...each page contains a list of items to find in the full page, colorful picture that goes along with it. This is the eighth title in the search-and-find series - and it's no surprise that this series is a bestselling one! As you search...and find, you'll also be able to see how the life of the toy train that you first discover at the beginning of the book, takes on a life of it's own...is rescued at a yard sale...and brought to life again in a new home. This is the type of book that will grow with your child as well. Youngsters LOVE searching for the items with mom and dad. As they grow older they'll want to try it by themselves, and even older they will discover the discreet, yet fun story that the book tells.
The second Christmas story we received was Oh, What a Christmas! by Michael Garland. This is such a fun little tale! Santa's ride to deliver presents starts out quite normal, but that all changes when the harness breaks and his reindeer fly off alone, leaving poor Santa and all the gifts stranded. What to do now?! Santa, of course...being as magical and innovative as we all know he is *wink*, is able to save Christmas by creating a new team made of cows, sheep, goats, pigs and an old hound dog! The story is fun, upbeat and mixes tradition and humor in such a sweet way! Kids are bound to love this story...whether Santa Claus is "real" or not in your home, it is a purely fun book to read together and to giggle at the story of Santa and his make-shift team.
WIN IT!
Scholastic Canada is giving away a prize pack including both these great Christmas titles! (Can You See What I See and Oh What a Christmas?) In order to enter, please follow the instructions on the form below.
