We've been checking out Splash'n Boots website in the last few weeks, and the kids really like their Kitchen Jams! These "improv-style" mini-shows are recorded in the kitchen (!) or on location somewhere in the world. Each jam's inspiration stems from a reader's letter or request.
Splash'n Boots have recorded and released 5 award-winning albums as well as created 2 DVDs. We received a copy of their latest DVD, called "ACT 2 - A whole lot of Awesome!" And Awesome it is! Alternating between catchy songs and more theatrical acts, it certainly grabs and keeps the kids attention. I've heard them humming the songs since, and performing the "doo doo" à la Splash'n Boots! What I really like about the DVD is it's all fun (Jonathan says "fun-tastic!"), and safe for kids. Often kids videos have content that makes me wonder, as it contains words or actions that I don't want my kids to see. The songs and video on this DVD are simple enough for our 3-year old to follow, while still containing enough complexity to keep our 6-year old busy as well.
Splash (Nick) and Boots (Taes) have landed a 4-year contract on Treehouse TV - so there will be lots more opportunities for enjoying this great duo!
And, they're about to embark on an 18-city tour across Canada with Roll Play Live from October 12- November 13. Tickets are on sale now for the Roll Play Live Animal Party. Check if they're going to visit your city! We're fortunate that they are coming here, and we'll let you know all about the show once we've had a chance to experience it ourselves! :)
In the meantime, be sure to check out Splash'n Boots website for more information about them, the tour, and for video clips of some of their performances!!

Favourite song - that's hard! I love Frieda (would love to see it performed but they haven't been to Ottawa in awhile). My kids love Monster Party.

Oh my goodness these guys are awesome!! My son and I just watched the potty party song, since we are "attempting" potty training. He liked dancing to the songs.
