When it comes to Kinder Surprises the first thing that comes to my mind is: FUN!! I mean...really...how many delicious treats do you get to eat and then still have a new toy to open, discover and play with after you finish treat? So in our minds Kinder Surprises are doubly fun. :)

But...let's be realistic here. :) We can't just sit and open Kinder Surprises all day (though that would be fun! ;) )...so what else do we do to have fun in our every day lives around here? We are a homeschooling family, so although we do have school time, it can be FUN! Incorporating both fun and learning into our school times is a big deal. Catching caterpillars and building homes for them so that they will (hopefully) turn into a butterfly, singing songs with lots of actions or stopping in the middle to go have a "picnic snack" outside are just a few of the ways that we make our school days fun and exciting. And after the school day is done we love to imagine...who knew an old pull along phone toy could be a pet puppy dog? Or that a bed was a camper? Or a that a police man could dress in a princess dress?! :) And then there's the quieter, fun times - like watching our 3 year old cut a piece of paper into teeny, tiny, itsy, bitsy pieces! Or helping our son build the house of his dreams with Lego. I'm hopeful that these moments will all someday translate into memories that will last a lifetime for my children.
