Scholastic Monday - Mother's Day GIVEAWAY!

"Being a Mom is one of the hardest jobs you'll ever have...yet it is also the most rewarding job you will ever have!" I've heard this said again and again, and I'd have to agree. Being a mom is a gift that I hope I never ever take for-granted...and quite honestly, I LOVE it. There is nothing more important to me than to be able to teach, love and pour into the lives of my children day in and day out. :) With Mother's day being just around the corner Scholastic Canada has some sweet and absolutely wonderful books for mothers and their little ones! One of my favorites is I Love you Through and Through by Bernadette Rossetti-Shustak. It is a book filled with things that are loved about a little one. I especially love the "I love your silly side" page where the toddler in the illustration is squeezing toothpaste out of a tube onto the floor, and wearing a shower cap with a funny expression...ahhh, the things that a toddler finds funny! haha. :) The book is one big declaration of love, and it would be ideal for young children.

Another great little board book is You Are My Sunshine by Caroline Jayne Church. The cover is catchy with a golden sunshine, and the book basically goes through the song "You Are My Sunshine"...we really like to sing this book to our kids! :) It is also a great book for young children and toddlers...short, colorful and since it's a board book it is also nice and durable!

Lastly, the third book that Scholastic Canada chose for a Mother's day feature was You're My Little Bunny by Claire Freedman. This book is a little longer, though it is still a board book and great for toddlers! The story is 100% adorable as a curious & fluffy little bunny goes through a day full of adventures, discoveries and fun! The story is full of hops, skips and even a little nap....hmmm, sounds similar to what happens in our house! :) Little bunny starts and ends his day snuggled up to Momma bunny as well...a perfect little book to read together as we celebrate mother's day in a week!

Manager to Mom said...: We have a tradition of cooking a huuuge brunch for our mother-in-law and the rest of my husband's family on Mother's Day. We usually spend the evening with my own mother and grandmother - often take them out for a nice dinner as well!

corey said...: We are taking my wife Garage Saling for her Mother's Day weekend. I know it doesn't sound like much but it's my wife's favourite thing to do. She used to go all the timw, every week, but she suffered a severe car accident two years ago and that, combined with chronic illness and a muscular disorder, have not allowed her to go in some time.
