Playtex Baby! ~ GIVEAWAY!!

There are a lot of baby products out there! Every grocery store, drug store, baby store, they all have lots and from different brands. As a mom, especially a new mom, how are you supposed to know what to choose? Well, a lot of times it's just trial and error until you get the right thing. Sometimes you're lucky, and a friend will recommend a product or company they've had success with. Going through the baby stage for the third time, I feel like I know a little more what I'm doing - of course, there's no guarantees, because every baby is different, as our little girl is proving to us every day! :)

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a review about a couple of pacifiers from Playtex Baby. They have a lot of great features, and because I've used products from Playtex Baby before, I had great hopes. Never mind that Annalies had different hopes :)...the pacifiers still look great! And, obviously, there's been some thought into their design, to make them safe for children and practical for parents as well - especially the pacifier with the sterilizing cap!

Playtex Baby also sent us a couple of cups and a sample of their bottle with drop-in liners. Here are some of the features of these products and my take on them. Read further to find out how you can win a package containing all the products I've reviewed from Playtex Baby!!

Playtex® First Sipster® Trainer Cup

  • soft durable spout
  • Twist 'n Click lid - guaranteed to be leak-proof
  • BPA-free
  • Phthalate-free
  • available in many colours
  • dishwasher safe (top rack)
  • contains 7 oz

Daniel tried out this cup for us. It was easy for him to drink from, and he kind of liked the handles (not that he needed them!) I guess he liked "reverting" to a "baby" cup for a while. The cup didn't leak at all - which meant I could feel comfortable with him taking it all over the house, regardless of what it contained.

Playtex® The First Lil’ Gripper Cup

  • squeezable body, so parent can prime the straw
  • Twist 'n Click lid - guaranteed to be leak-proof
  • BPA-free
  • Phthalate-free
  • available in many colours
  • dishwasher safe (top rack)

We haven't tried this cup yet, but Daniel has a Lil' Gripper Cup (larger size, minus the handles) and loves it. He knows it's his special cup, and it lives on his night table for bedside water drinks! This cup also has been super for us - no leaking and easy to clean. We really like the lid that slides over the straw to keep it clean.

Playtex® Drop-Ins Original Nurser

  • BPA-free bottle liner collapses to prevent baby from swallowing air
  • clean and easy to use
  • available in 4 oz, 8 oz regular liners and 10 oz expandable liners

I haven't used this bottle with Annalies (so far, she's resisting using a bottle!), but we did use one with Daniel, when he would accept a bottle. It's very convenient - the liners are easy to place in the bottle, and I really like that you can squeeze all the air out.

Playtex Baby has recently announced the the launch of www.playtexmommyville.ca.  This new online community is a space where modern moms can go to find the information they need.  It is also a forum where new and expecting moms can go to share, laugh and even commiserate with other moms.

The First Sipster Trainer Cup is where we are at right now. My son will be on juice in a month or so an this would be perfect to help him learn to hold a cup and not spill it everywhere!
