Naturally stylish kids ~ GIVEAWAY! (2 Winners!!)

We have officially entered Spring - with it beautiful sunshine, warmer weather most days, rain, mud, puddles... :) You've got to love a season that keeps you on your toes: warm one day, cooler the next - what do you wear?! And, for me, even more difficult, how do you dress your baby?  No need for a snowsuit, but it's still cool...and of course, I want something that's going to be comfortable, soft and made from natural fibres as well. It's a tall order!

Boské Kids, a Canadian children's clothing company, based in the Pacific Northwest, aims to provide clothing items that meet the specs: soft, comfortable and natural, and ethically produced. And now that I've seen some of their pieces, I can definitely say they do!

Boské Kids sources their materials in Peru. Items are made from Pima Cotton and Baby Alpaca Wool (from the first shearing of the adult alpaca, not from baby alpacas!).
Materials are:

• hand harvested
• dyed using natural, vegetable-based dyes
• eco-friendly

Clothing is:

• fair-trade/seatshop free
• made by family-run suppliers in Peru
• made using nickel-free snaps

This is so impressive! I'm always happy to find a company that cares about the environment and about its manufacturers. The quality of the clothing is impressive - I wish they had stuff that fit me! :)

Annalies was sent several pieces from Boské Kids' spring collection. Today I want to tell you about the leg warmers. Made from Baby Alpaca wool, these are the softest wool knitwear I've ever felt. Something interesting about alpaca wool is that doesn't contain any lanolin, like sheepswool, so it's hypo-allergenic. Alpaca fleece looks "rough" on the animal (at least from a distance) but it's got a silky smooth and soft feel that is lighter yet warmer and stronger than wool.

The leg warmers are available in solid (light brown, natural or pink) or striped (natural/pink, natural brown) designs. Sized to fit for a few years and slouch fashionably, they're a great idea for this in between weather, keeping baby's legs warm without overheating, but they're also going to be perfect in the winter time.
