The Wood Garden ~ GIVEAWAY!

Teething...it's something that we're going to be getting back into around here very soon! With Jenna being almost 5 months old she's getting to the stage where chewing on toys and putting things in her mouth is one of her favorite things to do! As I was looking through our baby toys a few weeks back I noticed something - every single one of them was made of plastic...and we're hearing more and more negative things about the effects of plastic in our homes. So I went on a search for some wooden teething toys and discovered a fantastic little etsy shop called The Wood Garden. They make the cutest toys out of wood...and there's toys for both babies and older children! The Wood Garden sent Jenna a few wooden teething rings - and she is enjoying them a LOT! Their teething rings are made from maple and perfect for a baby to hold onto and chew on. They are a great alternative to all the plastic teething toys I have packed up in a box right now - and they're much more durable, and easier to keep clean as well! Each maple teether is sanded until it's completely smooth, and then finished with certified organic flax seed oil. One other thing that I noticed about our wooden teething rings is that they are VERY lightweight! Even lighter than a lot of the plastic baby toys we own. The rings also are versatile in that you have the option of attaching a piece of terrycloth to them for your babe to chew on. I'm sure we'll be making use of this idea yet as well.
