Safe & Secure in the Tub ~ GIVEAWAY!

All my kids and babies have LOVED their baths! Who wouldn't? Nice, warm water to splash around and play in, bubbles, etc! My kids would play in the tub until the water was completely cold if I let them. :) Even our littlest babe - Jenna - loves the bath! If she's crying and having a fussy night, a bath will remedy that almost every time. There's one thing that I've struggled to find though for my babies and that is a bath seat that works well. We did have the one that you can find at Wal.Mart - it's the wire frame with a mesh cloth. It did work, but not well. Jenna was always slipping and sliding down and that metal bar at the bottom can NOT feel comfy under their little bottom! Well, Childish Notions recently sent Jenna one of their very first "Notions," the Daphne Bath Seat. This has made bath time EVEN more enjoyable for our little girl...and for us as parents too! The design of it is fabulous and you can definitely tell that it was very carefully designed and well-thought through. The Daphne bath seat was designed with the help of a pediatrician and is contoured to support your baby VERY well. It cradles your baby and leaves your hands free to do the washing. :) Here are some of our favorite aspects of the seat:

~ It enables newborns to follow the voice of parents as neck and head are well supported. The seat is raised high enough that the baby can look around with ease. The first time I sat Jenna in it she gave me a HUGE grin! :) She looks right into my face and can watch everything I am doing with the way that this seat is positioned.
~ The position of the seat makes it possible to wash your babies hair without getting water in their eyes! It is a higher-sitting seat, yet, it's got just enough of a backwards angle to make sure that any water that you pour over their hair goes back into the tub and not into their eyes.
~ It's suctions cups anchor it to surfaces such as large sinks, baby baths and directly in bathtubs.
~ It has an adjustable slide stop so you can easily adjust the seat for larger or smaller babies. I love that this seat grows with your baby from birth to about 8 months old!
~ It's Lightweight, portable and comes in several different colors!

The only part that we figured could be improved was padding. The seat is all plastic (which is great for easy cleaning though!), but it might be nice to have a little padding of some sort under their head. However, this was easily remedied by placing an extra washcloth under Jenna's head! Despite this fact, I would still 100% recommend the Daphne Bath Seat to any mom! It truly IS a great invention and it is very loved in our home - by both baby and mommy! :)
