Recently we have had to say good-bye to one of our fabulous Glimpse Moms - Shanilie. (we'll miss you Shanilie!) It was wonderful having her on our team. However, it's not all bad news! This means that we have an opening for another Canadian mom to join the Glimpse team and it could be YOU!
Here are the details...we are looking for someone who could be committed to doing the following:
~Post one review per week on Glimpse (this includes contacting companies, receiving FREE products to keep and review, as well as posting your reviews/giveaways on the products/shops)
~Make nifty little buttons for the shops that are offering discount codes, as well as for our links page
~Keep the buttons and links up to date
~Make advertising banners and buttons to generate income for our blog
~Give our blog a face lift/template change approx. once a year
So, if you are a Canadian mom (and yes, you have to be Canadian, since that is the whole point of Glimpse) with the above skills and interests, please email me ASAP at andrea.glimpse@gmail.com. When you email, please tell me a bit about yourself and your family, what skills you can offer, and why you want to be part of the Glimpse team! As soon as I receive your email I'll send you the Application Details which you can start to complete as soon as you have the time. :) The search will close on December 9th, and the winner will be announced shortly after that.

I'm too new to the whole blogging thing and know little about the techincal side but it sounds like fun for sure! (That and with little ones I am not sure I have the time to commit LOL)
I love the reviews here and that they are Canadain - Go Canada! LOL
We'd have to contact the companies ourselves? How can you guarantee that enough people would say yes, that I'd get enough products to do one review a week?
In regards to contacting companies...we mostly contact the companies ourselves and once in a while a company will contact us. But normally, we do the contacting. It's actually not too hard to find new companies...there are new ones starting up all over the place. We get a lot from Etsy, and often we look at Canadian business listings, or else just search for whatever type of product I'm looking for and the word "Canada" and have found new companies that way too (ex...so you could search for "bathtub toys" "Canada") Also, another thing that we have found helpful is that whenever we do find a new company to contact we always check if they have 'links" or "friends" section and often they will have links to other Canadian businesses in there. I have a TON of links to Canadian companies bookmarked that I have never contacted so for whoever is chosen to join our team I could send you some of those to get you started. :) We have never had trouble finding new companies to contact so far.
I wish I lived in Canada :)
