Tiny Tree Hugger ~ Giveaway!

So many parents are choosing to be more environmentally conscious these days, and I like to think that it is rubbing off on the next generation as well. I mean, if we are doing all we can to be more green, our children will grow up with those habits and they will just be the norm, right?

I had the chance to try out Kaley's Soap Nuts, which is an all natural laundry soap. Soap Nuts are essentially the fruit of Rittha Tree, and have been used for centuries in India and Nepal for washing clothing. You can read more about Soap Nuts here.

After using the Soap Nuts for my weekly laundry, on everything from towels to bedding to clothing, here's what I think. If you are looking for an Eco-friendly way to wash your laundry, this is it! Soap Nuts leave laundry smelling fresh, clean, and soft without the use of fabric softener. Of course, just like with any other natural laundry soap, it isn't a stain fighter, which means it will still be handy to have some good stain spray around for the tough stuff. Bria is particularly hard on clothes, and I found that I needed to pretreat.

Bria was sent this adorable t shrit as well! I really hope that Bria will grow up to be environmentally conscious, and I love it that she can wear this statement right now.

Tiny TreeHugger doesn't actually sell these right now, so you won't find them on their website. Keep an eye out for them in the future though, as Tiny TreeHugger is just getting started! Having been open just since June, they are already off to a good start.
